Get Ready for Dow 6000
By Steve Johnson
The Obama administration is fumbling the ball. Geithner botched his first big press conference when he unveiled a plan to come up with a plan. The market (and every good American) knows that Obama just signed a bill that will cost $1.5 trillion dollars, but wont create half the jobs he is claiming. You've all heard it more than once, but how can spending money fix a problem that came from spending too much money ? We obviously have learned nothing from Japan and their "Lost Decade", but what do you expect from a bunch of crooks in Washington. The politicians are looking out for the people that put them in office, nope not "you, the voter" but the people that funded their campaign with donations, the corporations and the lobbyists that work for them. Things are not going to get any better anytime soon, so while the anger is fresh on your mind, make a commitment right now to vote them out of office next election and get ready for Dow 6000 ! On a slightly different note, Americans have started to face the fact that the old America that we once knew is gone forever. It was a shameful America and I'm gad it's gone. It's not coming back anytime soon. Buying houses that we cant afford. Buying cars that cost as much as we make in a year and financing it for 7 years. Taking the equity out of our homes and spending it on useless garbage that gets thrown out in 6 months or taking vacations that we otherwise couldnt afford. Flat screen TVs in every room, dvd players in our cars, landscaping our new homes that we can barely pay the note on. Should I keep going ? Most of us have realised that the party is over. Could our eected leaders just do the same ? We went from a negative savings rate to 3% saving in a 2 month period ! What a turn around ! The government is bragging about spending more of your money and asking you to be thankful for it ! What a joke ! Unfortunately, the government is not listening and refuses to face the music. They want us to spend more and borrow more on top of the $14 trillion we already owe. Fortunately, its impossible to continue spending. There is no more home equity money and credit card limits are beng cut.(Thats the majority of what was being spent.) The 14% unemployment rate doesnt hurt either. Yes, thats the true unemployment numbers, not the false, fake, lying number the government puts out at 7.6%. When you get down to basics and look at things as they really are, and I mean really be honest with yourself, its disgusting. We buy houses that are way too big for us and we usually over pay (as shown by the fact that housing prices have came down 30% in the last year) we fill the house with furniture that we "bought" from Rooms To Go or some other furniture store, we buy new appliances from Home Depot or Sears with no payment for 1 year financing, we decorate the house with knick knacks from Target or Pier One on their store credit cards, we take out home equity loans after a year or two and suck out what little bit of equity was in the home in order to add a pool or spa or a bonus room that we can fill with big TVs and sound systems from Best Buy, you are so in debt now that you and your spouse both are forced to drive to a job you hate in two different cars that are financed and cost 3/4 of your yearly salary, you are tired and run down and have to get up every weekend and start the day with a cup of coffee on your $100 coffee machine that you bought with your credit card so you can mow your yard on your $3000 riding mower that you financed from HD or Lowes. Don't even get me started on what happens at Christmas. It is repulsive when you look at it. We drag around talking about my this and my that. We don't own anything ! The banks own it all. We use our salary to pay our bills and our bills never get paid off and we never seem to have enough to cover all of the bills. None of the stuff in our house is really ours, it was all loaned to us by bankers. They are the ones getting rich, sitting in their offices loaning money to idiots while we spend our entire life working to pay off bills for "stuff" that gets thrown out, broke, or used up. Why do we even exist if thts they way we are going to live ? Whats the purpose ? Whether you believe in God or Buddah or even the devil, don't you think more was intended for us ? Regardless of what the government does or how bad they screw things up, YOU can do something about it. It is very easy and simple. Quit spending, start saving, and put your ego to bed. You will thank yourself in 2-5 years depending on how bad your debt is. It really is that easy. Being debt free, free from the bankers, free from interest payments, free from the slavery of owning things, is one of the greatest feelings you can have |

It's best to spend like in the old days: save and buy if you can afford. But for many it's just about getting anything, now and can't appreciate the value of money which come from work and not from thin air like credit card and at another level the fractional banking system. People living on credit are just slaves of the banking system.
